Highly sought for his banjo and acoustic playing and harmony vocals, Pedersen brought his bluegrass background (Vern and Ray, the Dillard’s) to the 70s L.A. singer/songwriter scene. This two-fer’s opener, “Paperback Writer,” shows that the Beatles had their ear to bluegrass too. Greats ranging form David Lindley to Larry Carlton, Lowell George to Josh Graves chip in too. - DF
